Copilot Chat: Write Prompts That Get Usable Answers (Live, Hands-On)

December 3 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
$129.00
Hands-on, 60 minutes. Build prompts that get answers you can use, save them, and reuse them. Paid Copilot license required.

You asked Copilot a question and got an answer you could not use.

You build one prompt up in four steps with the GCSE structure (Goal, Context, Source, Expectations) and see what each step adds to the answer. You refine the answer with follow-up prompts instead of starting over, have Copilot help write a prompt and test it in a new chat, save a prompt to Copilot Prompt Lab, and adapt a recurring briefing prompt to your own work.

What you will do

  • Build a prompt with a goal, context, a source and expectations
  • Refine an answer with follow-up prompts in the same chat
  • Have Copilot help write a prompt, then test it in a new chat
  • Save a prompt to Copilot Prompt Lab and reuse it
  • Adapt a recurring briefing prompt to your own work

You leave with: Two saved prompts: a customer follow-up template and a recurring briefing prompt for your own work.

Copilot license: Copilot Premium (the paid Microsoft 365 Copilot license).

Who it is for: Licensed Copilot users who are new to it or get generic answers from it.

What you need

  • Microsoft 365 Copilot license: the paid add-on, or Microsoft 365 E7, which includes it. The Copilot label under the user’s name reads M365 Copilot (Premium). One sample file is sent before class and saved to OneDrive.
  • Check before you register: Open Microsoft 365 Copilot with your work account and read the label under your name at the bottom of the page. It must end in (Premium).
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot license assigned. No Copilot experience needed.
  • A computer with a reliable internet connection. The online meeting link is sent after you register.

You receive: Lab exercise handout and a prompt pattern quick reference.
